There is an almost infinite number of variations on this classic.
For this drink I poured some sweet vermouth over ice in to a shaker, shook it and threw away the vermouth. I then added 2 measures of vodka straight from the freezer shaken and strained in to a chilled glass. Garnished with an olive.
I’ve heard of extra extra dry martinis being made by barstaff who will swallow a shot of vermouth and then breath in to your glass before adding the chilled vodka or gin.
